When did you start drawing?
I have been drawing since I was very little, but I was never able to invest myself into drawing seriously until mid 2015, so before then it was a light hobby. I began uploading to Paheal around November of 2008 after I got my first drawing tablet. I had to take several hiatuses over the years, each of which lasted 1 or more years, which is why I wouldn't quite say I've been drawing since 2008. These hiatuses were for family reasons, which required me to work long hours for extensive periods of time for financial purposes.
Everything changed when the Fire Nation atta... I mean, in late 2015 when I was able to start receiving compensation for drawing. I received miniscule compensation at first, but it eventually grew until the point I could work part-time, which served as great motivation to invest myself more heavily until I was finally able to start drawing full-time by mid 2016. I have been drawing full-time ever since, and the ability to finally focus myself on my art has enabled me to advance my skills quite substantially since.
Why do you draw porn?
Because I like porn and I don't buy into the social stigmas and religious concepts that try to demonize it. Why does a superhero comic artist draw superhero comics? Why does a sports mangaka draw sports manga? Why does a shonen artist draw shonen? My reasons are no different than theirs. I enjoy working with the theme and no other reason should be needed.
How often do you update?
I update on a weekly basis. I try to do sketching for ongoing projects Monday through Tuesday, but the sketching stage is typically the most difficult and unpredictable, so it does often run through Wednesday. The clean lines are usually done Wednesdays through Thursdays, depending on when sketching is complete, and I do my best to have the colors ready by Friday afternoon in the EST timezone. It takes me the whole week to do my updates, so as much as I would like to, I can’t update any faster without sacrificing quality.
What do you use for drawing?
I draw everything using Clip Studio Paint for Windows, and my current tablet is a Wacom Cintiq Pro 24.
Do you have a team?
I do not have a team. I'm a lone wolf. It's me against the world. I ride into the sunset without a passenger.
Do you do requests?
I keep myself very busy with ongoing projects so I do not currently take requests directly. However, I do constantly take notes and am always open to good ideas. Note that “X characters doing Y” is not what I would classify as a “good idea.” That is just a standard character request. What I quantify as “good ideas” are things like very original concepts or clever setups and/or punchlines.
Do you take commissions?
No. As with requests I keep myself too busy for commissions. If I ever take commissions I will make official announcements with details.
If you took commissions, what would be your DO and your DON'T lists?
The best way to summarize my big DO list is that I am okay doing everything I have done before. As for my DON’T list, I don’t do gore, rape, violence, extreme bondage, inflation, diapers, scat, urination/"waterworks", extreme insertion, hyper proportions, pregnancy, boy on boy. If there is something I haven’t done before and it is not in my DON'T list, then odds are I’m not against it but that I don’t have enough interest in it to draw it either.
If you took commissions, what would be your commission rate?
I honestly cannot say what I would charge for commissions until the time comes when I would have to accept them. If I am opening commissions it means I am either going through some financial difficulty, or that I am looking to make extra money for some other crucial reason. As with any commissioned work I would have to look into how much money I am otherwise currently making with my time versus how much time I would have to set aside for commissions. Any value I could place on my time today may not translate to a later point in time in which I would do commissions, so answering this now is not very practical.
Why don’t you use X crowdfunding platform?
Obviously I do have a source of income, as proven by my ability to have internet and not die of starvation, but I cannot currently associate this site, its content or its linked services with any viable financial services. It is for this reason that I must maintain my separation of content and why I heavily moderate discussion about such services.
Why don’t you put ads on your site? Advertising services suffer the same financial service restrictions as my site, and thus any trustworthy ones will not be a viable option for the same reason I cannot get a payment processor. The services I could get would likely be very shady and create a very unpleasant experience, and I’d rather not have a service on my site that would force people to disable scripting or be at risk of viruses and malware.
Are you continuing Between the Scenes/Teen Titans Getting Off/Other comic?
I would like to, but doing so immediately is not an option. Due to having to maintain a full content separation, my time is far more split than I intended it to be at this point. Due to the inability to monetize the content on this site I can only do it on the side as a hobby. For this reason the only viable option I would have of continuing a different ongoing comic would be putting Sultry Summer aside, which is something I am not willing to alternate from until it reaches a certain point in the development.
What happened to X comic? I can no longer find it on this site.
I prefer that the content discussed in this website be exclusively the content available in this website. In order to maintain my only source of income, last October I was forced to perform a content separation and split my upload locations into two groups: Content with adult characters, and content with younger looking characters. I did not have to stop production of the removed content; it was simply removed from the platforms where I upload this site's content, which includes this site and all of the platforms you can find linked from the main menu of this site.
You said at X external website that you would do X. When are you doing it?
Watch out for impersonators. Even if not intentionally impersonating there are many sites out there that function by redistributing content from other sites regardless of any affiliation from the creators. I never make any official comments, less so official announcements, outside of this website or my Discord server. If I ever make any announcement about content on this site it will be posted in the blog and notified in the associated Discord server that can be found linked in my main menu.
How long is Sultry Summer going to be?
I cannot give a page count at this time because I do not have it scripted in that level of detail. I can say that the comic is currently planned to be split into two books, each book with 5 chapters. I have an image below that shows where the comic currently is. You can click the image to see a larger version.
Book one covers the exploration phase between Ben and Gwen and therefore focuses exclusively on advancing the physical interactions between them. Book two starts to explore other situations they find themselves in once they are free of any inhibitions on their behavior. These acts will often involve other characters from the Ben 10 universe that join in on their sexcapades.
The second book will therefore have an entirely different type of pacing, being more episodic in nature between chapters. Once book one is complete I will have enough vital elements covered that I will be confident alternating between Sultry Summer and some other comic ideas. I've worked on Sultry Summer for years straight as it is, and would like the chance to explore other content with other characters in between. I'll announce officially when I'm reaching that point.
Are Ben and Gwen going to do X?
I don’t like to give spoilers about this, but I can answer this generally and say that all forms of general sexual interaction are possible so long as it does not fall within my list of DON'Ts.
Is Sultry Summer going to be just Ben and Gwen?
There are temporary cameos planned, which some will also participate in the fun, but the comic will primarily follow Ben and Gwen.
Is Max ever going to join them?
No.
Will Ben ever use the Omnitrix, or will there otherwise be any aliens in Sultry Summer?
Possibly. Aliens are not in my list of don'ts, but they're also not something I'm highly interested in. This means that there's the possibility I could add them, but there are no concrete plans to do so at this time. However, after Ben and Gwen finish most of their exploratory phase the comic will have a change in pace that could accommodate ideas I may have that I find amusing enough, or have an abrupt interest in. These things wouldn't be anything as extensive as anything I already have enough interest in to have planned out, but I'm always considering my options.
