I’ve decided that this will mark the point that lewd activities get less embarrassment from Gwen, thus the lack of further blushing on her part as the morning-after awkwardness has faded.
As usual I will begin sketching the next page on Tuesday and hopefully have the colors up by Friday.

The lines for this page were actually quite busy compared to some of the recent previous pages. Lots of Ben and Gwen drawings for the different facial expressions, and things weren’t really that refined this time around in the sketch phase due to the difficulty of deciding on the dialogue/layout.

This sketch took me forever. It’s always a pain when there’s a lot of dialogue, and whenever there’s a lot of character interaction I try real hard to get a lot of angles so that the page isn’t too flat. This usually results in a lot of redrawing and repositioning of panels, which can be quite time consuming as attempts build up. Add on my poor sleep schedule and we get a late update. At least the sketch is done and that issue’s out of the way for now.

The transparency on this page was such a pain as I wasn’t sure how I wanted to handle it. This causes it to be a pain as I can’t properly prepare the lines ahead of time if I’m unsure, so I had to do a bit of moving around of line objects. In the end I feel it turned out okay so it is what it is.

Another late update but another page that took a long time to do. Lots of hand interaction in these pages along with a lot of use of perspective, so it’s been a bit of a struggle in the sketch phases. The perspective in the center panel was especially difficult since I usually have trouble with those single point perspectives centered in the panel since the scaling is so sharp. Could be worse though…at least there was only one Omnitrix shot.

I said it wouldn’t take long and I meant it. With this page the lewd can begin again despite Max being present again. Gwen certainly didn’t take her time in making another move. Also, I adjusted page 64 slightly as I accidentally kept some lines on Max that shouldn’t have been there in the colors, which I’ll be opting out of adding in the lines at all from now on to prevent that mistake again.

I had to reupload page 64 as I realized I added the lines for the bottom of his eyes, which he does not have. I intended to erase those but completely forgot, so to eliminate that risk I’ll not be adding them in the lines from now on.

Super late update with this but my sleep schedule is still super dead. I really need to try and fix it, but sketching has been so difficult for me lately as I’ve been adding a lot more details than usual to the recent pages. I’ve also been having mental blocks on deciding on layouts and dialogue for things.
In this particular page I’m unsure how I will be doing the final panel. I didn’t detail the chair because the details will end up getting too confusing if I added any more in this stage, but after finishing the sketch I’m now thinking I may do the table with full opacity and just add transparency to show what Gwen’s doing with her hand. For this reason the lines may very well have less detail there than this sketch.

Gwen’s sleeping posture in this page is canon. I caught a glimpse of her sleeping like that in episode 11 of season 2, Ghostfreaked Out, and immediately noticed it. I just had to scour the series for that scene and save the snapshot, which I’ve uploaded here.
