With the recent scene of Chain Reaction complete, Sultry Summer is back on. This scene takes place within the final 2 episodes of the series before the finale, which makes it the perfect place to do the final scene before the epilogue.

As is common starting the scenes off of episodes, I worked directly off of screenshots for this page, so I went straight into lining. This made it take longer to get an update, but should have sped things up overall. The page still took a while though because the backgrounds took forever.

While this scene starts with the addition of Cooper, he will not be the major focus. Of course that’s not to say he can’t get his own moment. I don’t like to spoil too much so I won’t go further than that.

Yet again trying to get the dialogue down gave me trouble. I wanted Ben to talk to Gwen in a way that would appeal to her heavy interest in lewds, in a way that would target her particular interests. I think it came out well enough, but if there’s time I may read it over again and see if anything needs revising.

I managed to get this done right before bed, so unless something unexpected gets in my way I should be able to have this done at the normally intended time on Friday.

Took me a while to decide how to follow up with this stage, and how to get this page plotted out, and then making sure to fit Gwendolyn as I did made some of the panels/perspective more difficult, but at last the lines are done. I should still have this colored tomorrow.

Done on time this week due to having a page that didn’t require that much plotting out, so, barring an incident, I will definitely have this done on time Friday.

Bah, sorry for the super late update this week, but I absolutely could not decide how to proceed from the previous page, and due to drawing over my busy weekend last week I yet again didn’t put the time into deciding that I should have prior to the week beginning. But now these lines are done, and they shouldn’t be too long to color, so I’ll try to have that later today.

Bah, I had the lines for this done hours ago, but I couldn’t decide on how to handle the dialogue so I set it aside to work on something else to get back to it with a fresh start as opposed to racking my brain over it for too long.

With this done I’ll definitely be on track to have colors done on time Friday. However, I seem to have extra distractions coming up this weekend, so not sure how much I’ll be able to get done, but I’ll try to get an illustration or two.

Also, there will be extra light shining effects for Gwendolyn in panels 1 and 3 that cannot really be reflected in the lines.

Bah, super behind this week, but I absolutely could not decide how I wanted to progress the comic from the previous page. My general outline had a ton of different routes I could have gone, and I simply couldn’t choose which to go with. Once I finally chose I had to decide how the characters would interact to get there, so by the time I was done planning and able to start drawing it was literally late Wednesday, and Thursday I had to make sure to have something else done before I could finish this, so I got a very late start.

Typically at a point like this I should have used the weekend to decide, but I was very intent on getting Pet with Benefits complete, which took every spare minute of the weekend to get all 4 pages done.

And yet another page gave me trouble. I’ve been having serious trouble lately with planning/scripting in general, largely due to the situation that comes from maintaining this site’s content. It’s been building up to be quite stressful, but nothing can really be done about it so it is what it is.

Bah, had trouble figuring out what to do again, so these lines are quite late again. It would have been done earlier in the day but I had another appointment to keep first thing in the morning. At least now it’s done, and the colors should be finished tomorrow.

Bah, this page took longer than I had hoped, and it’s still technically not done as I need to decide some background details. Again I tried to cram a lot of development into one page instead of making it take two, so it caused a bigger delay again but at least I’ll get to the action yet another week sooner.
